This review explores T-cell immunotherapy for melanoma, highlighting immune checkpoint inhibitors (anti-CTLA-4, anti-PD-1, anti-LAG-3), tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), and emerging therapies that engineer T cells with specific receptors or T-cell receptors, such as CAR-T and TCR cells, and RNA vaccines.
We discuss the history of T-cell immunotherapy, mechanisms of action, and future directions for improving patient outcomes.
